Pick-your-own berries, a self-serve market in the barn, and the best local sweet corn — on 290 acres near Canoe Creek State Park.
The home market stays open through December — self-serve in the barn, daily 9 to 7, with Georgia citrus coming in again this year. 615 Flowing Spring Road, Williamsburg.

Blue Barn Farm is a 290-acre farm adjacent to the Juniata River near Canoe Creek State Park, owned by Tim and Karen Wilson. It has historically been a vegetable farm known especially for its sweet corn.
Karen has gone back to her farming heritage and created a Pick-Your-Own farm — so you can come pick your own fresh, nutritious berries and vegetables and enjoy a peaceful, rural setting. We're easy to reach from Altoona, Huntingdon, Martinsburg and the towns around them.
Strawberries open the season in early June and the raspberries close it in July. Picking days depend on the berries, and the berries depend on the weather — so call ahead or check our Facebook page before you come.

Through the cul-de-sac at the end of Flowing Spring Road, onto our private drive, and follow the signs to park.
Bring your own. They're weighed as you enter the field, and you pay for your berries by the pound.
There's a wash station at the entrance to the field — wash your hands before picking.
Pick in the row and color-coded area you're assigned. Family groups pick together.
Sweet corn is ready beginning mid-July, at our on-farm market and at the farmers markets we attend. Call ahead for availability — and for freezing and canning corn orders.
Our own farm market is in the lower part of the barn at 615 Flowing Spring Road. It's self-serve and runs on the honor system, open 9 am to 7 pm daily.
Early in the season: lettuces, greens, radishes, broccoli and green onions. Later: tomatoes, squashes, peppers and eggplant — and don't forget the sweet corn.
At the barn: cash, check, PayPal and Venmo (no change for cash). At the farmers markets: cash, check, cards, PayPal, Venmo and FMNP vouchers.
We use Integrated Pest Management and keep sprays to a minimum. We're not certified organic, but every vegetable grown in our tunnels and fenced fields is cultivated organically. We rotate crops, compost crop waste, plant cover crops and no-till where we can, and leave the natural vegetation along the Juniata standing. Karen has taken the FSMA food-safety training, and over the seasons we've given many pounds of produce to local food banks.
Take Route 22 between Hollidaysburg and Williamsburg and turn onto Flowing Spring Road. Cross the bridge over the river, then the smaller bridge over Flowing Spring stream, and turn right right away onto Flowing Spring Road — a left takes you to the Lower Rails to Trails parking lot.
Follow it to the end, about half a mile, and go through the cul-de-sac onto our private drive. Pass the house on your right and the metal shed, and the barn is in front of you. Curve right after the shed and look for the parking signs.
